Will a Zip Blind Hold in a Singapore Squall?
Yes, when sized and installed properly. Our zip-blind installations have held through years of squall seasons. We do not promise typhoon-grade performance, because that is not what the product is rated for. The realistic envelope is moderate to strong wind and steady rain.
Can I See Through a Zip Blind When It Is Lowered?
Through an open-mesh zip (10% to 15% openness), yes. You get a softened view and a noticeable cross-breeze. Closed-mesh zips (3% to 5%) block more view and more weather. Some clients install one of each on the same opening for full daily flexibility.
Do I Need MCST Approval for a Zip Blind?
On a condo balcony, usually yes. On HDB external balconies, also yes. We work to the MCST and HDB external-installation guidelines and help prepare the documentation, including bracket fixing details and product spec sheets.
What Is the Lead Time?
Typical lead time is 4 to 6 weeks. Custom-sized fabric and motorisation are import-only in many cases and add a week or two. If your handover is fixed, we stage measurement and install around it.
